Report: Israeli envoy meets with Muslim Brotherhood officials
Israel's Ambassador to Egypt Yaakov Amitai has met with several high-ranking members of the Muslim Brotherhood, some of whom are close to President Mohammed Morsi, the London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper reported Monday.
According to the report, Amitai assured the Egyptian politicians that Israel has no intention of interfering in Egypt's internal affairs, and that all Jerusalem wants is to maintain peace and stability, and put a stop to terrorist attacks originating from the Sinai Peninsula. (Roi Kais)
