UN confirms Saudi dissident, group off al Qaeda list
A UN Security Council committee has removed Saudi dissident Saad al-Faqih and his Movement for Islamic Reform in Arabia from the UN al Qaeda sanctions list, Germany's UN envoy confirmed on Monday.
The move came despite Saudi Arabia's opposition and US concerns about Faqih. (Reuters)
