Myanmar president grants amnesty to 46 prisoners
A Myanmar state newspaper says President Thein Sein has granted amnesty to 46 prisoners.
It was not immediately clear whether it would apply to the hundreds of political prisoners who activists and rights groups say are incarcerated in Myanmar. The state-run New Light of Myanmar reported Tuesday that 37 men and nine women would be released. (AP)
