UN urges Jordan to open camp for Syrian refugees

A United Nations official says a refugee camp must soon be opened in Jordan to address a dramatic spike in the numbers of Syrians crossing the border.
Andrew Harper, the U.N. refugee agency's representative to Jordan, says refugee numbers doubled over the past four days with about 1,000 entering Jordan late Monday alone. (AP)
