UK's Hague: No point Russia siding with Assad

British Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Wednesday that Russia needed to understand that siding with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was futile as the West tries to bring the conflict in Syria to an end.
"Russia must understand that the situation in Syria is leading to collapse," Hague told a news conference after meeting his French counterpart Laurent Fabius. "There is no point anybody standing by the Assad regime." (Reuters)
