Plan to secure gas platforms sent to be sent to gov't

A plan from the defense establishment to secure Israel's offshore gas platforms is due to be presented to the government for approval after the IDF chief of staff and the Defense Ministry signed off on it.

The plan called for some 250 combat troops and officers to staff four ships that will patrol the sites daily at a cost of NIS 3 billion per year. (Yoav Zitun)
