Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's attorney Eli Zohar said on Tuesday that "this is a great day for Israel's justice system."
Zohar added that "a serving prime minister was impeached following initial testimonies and the fact that in 2008 we were forced to stand here and hear Mr Talansky." He also noted that this procedure must end today with a complete and thunderous acquittal." The former prime minister's legal team said they would not appeal.(Aviel Magnezi)
