Hezbollah announced that it has arrested three people it believes were running a spy ring on behalf of the United States and Israel,
the Saudi-owned Al Arabiya news network reportedTuesday.
The suspects, identified as Mohammed al-Husseini, Jihad Jaloul and Mohammed al-Sabaa, were apprehended in a southern Beirut
suburb, the report said.

A report by the Lebanese daily An-Nahar added that the men "were not members of Hezbollah
but had good relations with people in the group."
The three "double agents" had reportedly infiltrated Hezbollah's ranks some time ago and sources within the Shiite group said that they provided both the CIA
and the Mossad with "valuable information."
An unnamed Hezbollah source told the news agency that the three had received large amounts of money for their espionage work.
Hezbollah considers al-Husseini the most dangerous among the spies, the report said, as he was tasked with shadowing Hasan Izz-Al-Din, a high-profile Lebanese terrorist wanted by the US in connection to the hijacking of a TWA flight 847 in 1985.
The Lebanese newspaper al-Mustaqbal hedged that Jaloul and al-Sabaa fled Lebanon in May were either in Africa or Israel.
