Palestinian hunger striker released after 2 months

The Palestinian administrative detainee Mahmoud Sarsak, who went on a hunger strike for over two months to protest his imprisonment, has been released from a Shin Bet facility in the Gaza Strip.

Sarsak, 25, is a Palestinian soccer player suspected of belonging to the Islamic Jihad. After being released he was taken to a hospital for treatment. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
