Former state's witness gunned down in Tel Aviv

David Hakak, 42, was shot to death overnight Wednesday in Tel Aviv, police announced Thursday.
Several years ago, Hakak served as state's witness in a gambling scandal that brought down 14 suspects. It was unknown whether that prompted the shooting. (Eli Senyor)
