Russia says it will oppose a Western-backed UN resolution on Syria that could be enforced militarily.
Russia and Britain have circulated rival texts for a new Security Council resolution addressing the future of the 300-strong UN observer force in Syria whose mandate expires on July 20 and the escalating violence in the 15-month conflict. (AP)
