Clinton in Egypt for first meeting with president

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham has arrived in Cairo for her first meeting with Egypt's Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, as the US tries to help resolve a political crisis affecting the once-ironclad American ally.

Clinton also plans talks with Egypt's military chief and the foreign minister. (AP)
