Erekat: PA seeking non-member UN status

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said the Palestinian leadership is continuing to seek the status of a nonmember state at the United Nations.
According to him, the Palestinians want the Arab League's monitoring committee on the Arab peace initiative, which will convene in Qatar on Sunday, will set an exact date for approaching the UN General Assembly with the request for nonmember status. (Elior Levy)
