Sources: Clinton pressuring Israel to grant incentives to PA

Political sources said on Monday that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is exerting pressure on Israel to grant the Palestinians with a "generous package" of incentives, including transferring weapons to security forces in the West Bank and the release of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons.
The sources further said that the US is concerned over the stalled negotiations with the Palestinians, saying that they are weakening PA President Mahmoud Abbas' hold on the region. (Attila Somflavi)
