3 Vietnam activists convicted of defaming leaders

A court in northern Vietnam has sentenced three activists to up to five and a half years in jail for conducting anti-government propaganda.
The official Vietnam News Agency says Nguyen Kim Nhan was convicted of defaming Communist Party and government leaders by accusing them of violating human rights in interviews with foreign media. He was also convicted of inciting land petitioners to gather, causing public disorder. (AP)
