Tutu II, who is considered to be the strongest traditional ruler in Africa
with 12 million subjects, is visiting Israel
for the first time. He presented Peres with Ashanti Kente cloth, which is traditionally wrapped around the body. The president was also given a king's chair.

The ruler of Ghana's Ashanti kingdom, who is a graduate of Cambridge University and speaks fluent English, said the citizens of Ghana support Israel in the aftermath of the terror attack
in Burgas, Bulgaria and urged Israelis to invest in the African country.
Peres said Israel would share with Ghana its knowledge in the fields of agriculture, water technology, education, medicine and infrastructure.
