EU to tighten arms embargo on Syria

The European Union will enforce an existing arms embargo against Syria by requiring member nations to board ships and aircraft carrying suspicious cargo to the war-torn nation.

Foreign ministers meeting in Brussels endorsed the measure on Monday and also added 26 Syrian individuals and three companies to the bloc's existing sanctions list. (AP)
