Woman suspected of trying to drown kids remanded in custody

The Haifa Magistrate's Court extended by 48 hours the remand of a Nazareth resident suspected of trying to drown her two children at the beach on Tuesday. A letter the woman left did not state her intention to commit suicide and did not mention the children.
Police are seeking an attempted murder charge. The suspect claims she was had been bathing in the sea at her daughter's request. (Ahiya Raved)
