Ya'alon urges IDF to open more haredi service programs

Minister Moshe Ya'alon who has been tasked with finding an alternative to the Tal Law is calling on the IDF to immediately prepare to receive haredi recruits by opening new service programs. Ya'alon is proposing to establish new haredi battalions that will engage in ongoing security activity, home front protection and Iron Dome operation. The minister is also proposing opening new national service programs for haredim. (Attila Somfalvi)
