Bill targeting employers of infiltrators passes 1st reading

The Knesset has approved the first reading of a bill designed to increase the legal consequences for business owners who employ illegal migrants and for officials who help them.
The bill would make it possible to sentence anyone who employs illegal residents of Israel to up to five years in prison or fine him or her up to NIS 500,000. (Moran Azulay)
