A Palestinian who infiltrated an army outpost in the Jordan Valley
early Friday was apprehended and taken in for questioning, the IDF
Spokesperson's Office said.
No one was hurt in the incident, which is being investigated.
Earlier this month, metal thieves infiltrated the military training facility in Zeelim.
Other incidents in which metal and weapons were stolen during army exercises prompted the IDF to invest some NIS 7 million ($1.72M) in a new surveillance system and radar, which were installed at the Zeelim base.
In addition to security cameras that were installed along the fence surrounding the training facility, a special operations room was set up to track the movement of thieves trying to break into the base.
