On occasion of Ramadan, modesty police reward women found to be appropriately dressed
Iranian police have decided to reward women who dress modestly on the occasion of the month of Ramadan.
Women working in the "modesty squads" handed out roses to women deemed to be modestly dressed in a northern province in the Islamic Republic.

Recently, Iranian police have beefed up enforcement of modesty laws. Women wearing mandatory headscarves improperly or in "vulgar" dress are usually warned before being fined or detained in police stations.
