Majdal Shams resident accused of divulging information to Syria

Released for publication: The Shin Bet in cooperation with Israel Police at the end of June arrested Iyad Jamil Assad Johari a resident of the Druze town of Majdal Shams over suspicions that he was in contact with Syrian intelligence sources and gave them, among other things, IDF force locations in the Golan Heights.
An indictment was filed against Johari in the Nazareth District Court for contact with foreign agents and divulging information to the enemy. (Yoav Zitun)
