Israel, PA agree on taxation, transfer of goods

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz and Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad reached an agreement regarding taxes and transfer of goods between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
The agreement was the result of a covert between Steinitz, Fayyad and PA Finance Minister Nabil Kassis, following a series of meetings over the past year.
According to the agreement – the first between Israel and the PA during the Netanyahu administration – Israel will assist the PA in establishing a tax system. (Attila Somfalvi, Avital Lahav)
