White House: Sanctions haven't yet worked in Iran
None
White House Spokesman Jay Carney said on Wednesday that the White House agrees with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Iran has "yet to make the choice it needs to make, which is to abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions."
Carney further said that the sanctions are "exacting a toll on the Iranian regime and the Iranian government." But Carney acknowledged that the sanctions have not yet had their desired effect. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
