Saudi Arabia invites Ahmadinejad to Mecca summit
Saudi Arabia has officially invited Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to an Islamic summit in the city of Mecca to be held later this month, a Saudi news agency reported.
Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah announced Mecca will be hosting an emergency summit of Muslim leaders to discuss the "rebellion" threat. He expressed hope the conference will help "close ranks" in the Muslim world. (AFP)
