Report: Northern Sinai placed on security alert

Most of northern Sinai was put on security alert – especially the areas close to army and border guard posts, the online version of the Al-Ahram newspaper reported.

According to the report, heavy armored vehicle traffic registered in the region. Egyptian army forces were said to be collaborating with the country's commando units, which are scouring the areas surrounding the security forces' posts. (Roi Kais)
