Initial probe: Stray bullet fired by trainee kills border guard

A border guard who was killed at training base in Binyamin appears to have been hit by stray bullet that was fired by a trainee, a probe into the incident shows.
Earlier reports claimed that the officer, 21, was inspecting his weapon when it discharged. He sustained serious wounds, and was taken to the Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center, where he died. All training activity has been halted pending an investigation into the incident. (Itamar Fleishman)
