Daily newspaper seized for alleged insult to Egypt president

Egypt's state news agency says a court ordered Saturday editions of a newspaper confiscated over allegations of insulting the Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi.

MENA says the editions of Al-Dustour, a privately owned daily, were seized amid investigations into lawsuits leveled by a number of people accusing the paper of "fueling sedition," and "harming the president through phrases and wording punishable by law." It was not clear whether the paper was barred from publishing completely. (AP)
