Following 16 days of competition in 26 sports, flag-waving athletes from around the world are taking part in the Olympics closing ceremony.
The ceremony continues with musical performances by the Spice Girls, The Who, George Michael, Annie Lennox, the Pet Shot Boys, One Direction, Ray Davies and the surviving members of Queen. (AP)
