Kadima denounces Dichter's departure

MK Avi Dichter who left Kadima to join the government as home front defense minister spoke to Kadima chairman Shaul Mofaz on Tuesday to inform him of his departure. Dichter stressed the departure was "not personal" and is not aimed at undermining Mofaz's leadership.

A Kadima statement in response to the move said, "Avi Dichter erred when he jeopardized his reputation and defected for a minor and powerless position in cynical and shameless government." (Attila Somfalvi and Moran Azulay)
