Egyptian official: Morsi consulted with Tantawi before dismissal

An Egyptian official was quoted by London based al-Hayat newspaper as saying that Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi's decision to dismiss Defense Minister Hussein Tantawi was made following a consultation between the two of them.
According to the official, Morsi also consulted with former UN Chief Kofi Annan and decided not to prosecute any senior members of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. (Roi Kais)
