In an apparent change of heart, Iran said Tuesday it now welcomes foreign aid for victims of the deadly twin earthquakes that hit the country's northwest last weekend.
Earlier, a European Union official said the bloc is prepared to offer humanitarian assistant to Iran. Catherine Ray, spokeswoman for the EU's development commission, says the 27-nation bloc will provide help if approached by the Tehran government or the Red Crescent society. (AP)
