An official representative of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Shimon Peres "has forgotten what the duty of the Israeli president entails," this following the president's television interview and his statements regarding an attack in Iran.
"It is clear that we can't do this by ourselves. We could delay it, but it is clear that we have to cooperate with America," Peres said regarding a strike in Iran. Netanyahu's reps were furious. "Peres has forgotten that he too has made at least three grave mistakes regarding national security. The biggest one in 1981, when he thought that bombing the Iraqi nuclear reactor was a mistake. Fortunately, Prime Minister Menachem Begin ignored him," one of them said. (Ynet)
