Report: Assad names new VP

The Lebanese newspaper al-Mustaqbal reported that Syrian President Bashar Assad has named Interior Minister Mohammad Ibrahim al-Shaar as his vice president, following Farouk al-Sharaa's defection.
The reports was allegedly posted on Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem Twitter account. (Roi Kais)
