Universities petition High Court against Ariel center

The Hebrew University, Technion, Tel Aviv University, Weizmann Institute, Bar Ilan University, University of Haifa, Ben Gurion University and The Open University have petitioned the High Court of Justice demanding to cancel the decision to establish a university in Ariel.
The petition was filed against the Higher Education Council, IDF West Bank command, the Israeli government, defense minister, finance minister, education minister, planning and budgeting committee, and the Ariel University Center. The petition argued that the decision to grant university status to the Ariel center is flawed. (Aviel Magnezi)
