Syria: 3,700 killed in August, opposition says

Syrian opposition activists reported that August has been the deadliest month the country has seen since the beginning of the uprising against Bashar Assad. Some 3,700 people have been killed in clashes this month, CNN reported.
Some 21,000 people have been killed since the violence in the Syria began in March 2011. (AFP)
