Egypt official: Israel understands our right to secure Sinai
A top officer in Egypt's military council has denied reports that Israel opposed the use of fighter jets in Sinai. The source told the Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper that "Israel understands that Egypt has the right to secure its territories and protect its borders."
The source added that Egyptian police and army forces are still surrounding the Jabal al-Halal area in northern Sinai. He stressed that the security forces continue to collect data about terror hubs in the region. (Roi Kais)
