Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, a day before the new school year begins: "I am pleased we are opening the school year without setbacks or strikes."
Netanyahu further stated: "We are investing great funds in education, and parents understand that something is changing and we expect results. We want children to know calculus, Hebrew and computer literacy, and I am convinced that we've reached a point in which Israeli children are ahead of the curve." (Tomer Velmer)
