PhD student lightly injured in Technion lab explosion

A canister containing organic waste exploded on Monday in the Technion's bio-technological lab causing a 28-year-old PhD student to sustain light injuries.

The student was bandaged at the scene and taken to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for further treatment. The canister apparently blew up due to a chemical reaction. (Ahiya Raved & Carmit Reuven)
