IDF strikes Gaza weapons factories

Air Force bombs weapons production and storage facilities in northern Strip after repeated rocket attacks in past two days. Palestinians report of two injuries

The IDF retaliated to the recent firing of rockets at Sderot and bombed two weapons production and storage facilities in the northern Gaza Strip overnight. The IDF confirmed the report.

 

According to reports, Air Force jets struck a number posts belonging to Hamas' military wing as well as Hamas government security posts. Two Palestinian officers were injured.

It was also reported that Gaza security forces evacuated all of their posts for fear of additional attacks.

 

On Monday, two rockets hit open areas in Sderot and Shaar Hanegev just minutes after President Shimon Peres had left the area after visiting a local school.

 

Several hours earlier, a rocket was fired at Sderot shortly after the new school year began. Rockets were fired at the southern city on Sunday as well, hitting two factories. No injuries were reported.
