Another act of violence caught on camera – A Jewish settler was attacked with an axe on Tuesday while documenting construction work allegedly conducted by Palestinians in Khan Luban, near the West Bank settlement of Ma'ale Levona. Police arrested the Palestinian involved in the assault. The area of Khan Luban has seen ongoing disputes between Palestinians and settlers. On Tuesday morning, settlers from Ma'ale Levona arrived in the area to document how, according to them, a Palestinian family was taking over the area. Shortly afterwards, a verbal altercation developed between the Palestinians and the settlers, ending with an attack with an axe. The video footage, which captured only part of the incident, shows one of the settlers being attacked by a Palestinian. Large army and police forces arrived at the scene and separated between the sides. The Palestinian man suspected of assaulting the settler was taken into custody and his relatives claimed that the family has been subjected to repeated harassments by settlers. Meanwhile, The Regavim movement presented a document issued by the Civil Administration which allegedly authorizes Jews to visit the area.
