IDF chief, defense minister discuss haredi recruitment
IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz has met with Defense Minister Ehud Barak to discuss the plan to enlist haredim to the IDF. The course of action has been plotted by the army's Personnel Directorate over the past month.
The plan, which is to remain in effect until a new draft law is passed in the Knesset, is expected to significantly increase the number of ultra-Orthodox troops. (Yoav Zitun)
