AG asked to explain decision not to prosecute MK Zoabi

The High Court of Justice has ordered Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to disclose within 30 days the legal difficulties and evidence which led to his decision to close the criminal investigation against Knesset Members Hanin Zoabi (Balad) and Sheikh Raed Salah, following their participation in a Gaza-bound flotilla.

The court issued the order following a petition filed by MK Michael Ben Ari (National Union) and right-wing activist Itamar Ben Gvir against the decision not to prosecute the two. (Aviel Magnezi)
