AG: No legal obligation to bring 'stuck' asylum seekers into Israel
None
The Prime Minister's Bureau has addressed the issue of the asylum seekers stuck between the Egyptian and Israeli border fences and said: "The Attorney General has declared that there is no legal obligation to allow those beyond the fence (into the country).
"According to international practice and binding precedents, the fence is the actual border so those beyond the fence are not within Israeli territory and are not eligible for automatic entry." (Omri Efraim and Attila Somfalvi)
