Report: Iran sent elite troops to aid Assad's regime

Western intelligence officials told the British Daily Telegraph that Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has personally sanctioned the dispatch of experienced officers to ensure that the Assad regime survives the threat to its survival.
