Barak: If cabinet wants IDF to control Gaza – it's possible
None
Speaking at a conference on Operation Cast Lead, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said: "It (Cast Lead) did not need to be dragged out for 22 days, and that is a good lesson for other things. Going out of Gaza after Cast Lead was justified but belated and we could have left under the same conditions 10 days earlier.
If the cabinet would want the IDF to conquer and control Gaza it is possible today too." Barak added that a measure of clear-headedness is needed in determining goals." (Yoav Zitun)
