EU pledges more relief aid to Syria

The European Union said Friday it will provide an additional (EURO)60 million ($76 million) in humanitarian aid meant for Syria, warning that the number of refugees and displaced people needing assistance has topped 2.5 million
The new funds will go to agencies that provide shelter, medical aid, and for other humanitarian efforts, Kristalina Georgieva, EU commissioner for humanitarian aid said. (Reuters)
