Iran slammed Canada's decision to break off diplomatic ties, accusing the Canadian government of being "under the influence of the Zionist regime," Iranian media reported.
"The government of Canada is an extremist government (...) influenced by the Zionist regime, which takes action to put pressure on the Iranian people and create problems for the citizens of our country," Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said. (AFP)
