Report: Hamas leader meets Hezbollah officials in Lebanon, visits Tehran

Top Hamas official Mahmoud Al-Zahar has made a clandestine visit to southern Lebanon and met with Hezbollah leaders, the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds reported. Al-Zahar visited a tourist site that displays military loot obtained by Hezbollah during the Second Lebanon War and toured military bases and tunnels in the region.

According to the report, Al-Zahar then travelled to Tehran, where he is expected to meet with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He is said to have already met with various other Iranian leaders, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. (Roi Kais)
